“When I met Ria, an amazingly talented photographer friend with great energy, I knew she was the type of person who shares the same values I do. She wants to lift people up just like I do, She wants to help them grow just like I do, She wants to be a better human, just like I do. What I didn’t know was what a special gift she would be to my life.
One day, I am going to look back on these photos and I am going to remember the year that I found myself again. I am going to remember the friend who helped me embrace exactly where I was on my journey. That helped me see that it is ALL beautiful. Even the parts where we aren’t where we want to be…YET.
It’s given me more power. More motivation. More strength. You don’t have to wait until you lose the pounds. You don’t have to wait until you fit into the perfect outfit. You don’t have to be anybody besides exactly who you are, right now!

My self love has been modest and contained for years and I could never figure out why… until yesterday…
I have contained so much of myself because of the judgement placed on women by society… what we choose to wear, look, say, act, choose as a career path, the way we mother… the list goes on…

This photo shoot made me SEE myself… see the amazing women I am… not the extra skin, or rolls, or cellulite… society painted the picture of how I am suppose to look and Ria and Sarah helped me see me for ME!
My life has changed drastically since that day…
Do I want to make changes to my body… YES… but because I WANT to not because I feel I HAVE to!!!!
So today… I’m sharing this photo because I see my beauty… I have a purpose in this world and it’s to shine my light!!! We are all here to be different, we are not meant to come from the same mold…
